This week it was back to our epic! Both boys were excited to hear more of Zeidy's stories. We started back up with the story of Rachel and Leah -- above is J's picture of Jacob meeting his cousin Rachel at a well in Haran. He then bargains with Rachel's father, Laban, to marry her in exchange for his daughter's hand in marriage. But at the end of his 7 years of labor, Laban tricked him into marrying his daughter Leah instead. Below is Zoo Boy's drawing of an angry Jacob bargaining again with tricky Laban to work an additional 7 years so he could marry Rachel also.
Above is J's story summary. Our summaries are getting longer as the boys are getting more vested in the stories and less willing to leave out any of what they deem as important details. Which means that I have to adapt them for Zoo Boy (his summary is below) because he can't do quite so much handwriting as J can.
