Our two most recent, and last of the season, lambs, Charlie (on the left) and Alice (on the right). As usual, Nilla's babies are gorgeous, and I'm thrilled to get one more girl out of this batch, since two of my breeding ewes will be sold this year. (One is getting too old to breed anymore, and the other has only produced a single lamb for the past two years -- doesn't make sense to keep a ewe that is not consistantly twinning.)
Lambing Season is officially over! Four mothers, seven babies, two girls and five boys. 175% lambing percentage. Not too shabby (the goal of a typical sheep farm being 200%). 100% survivors, 0% problems. You really can't ask for more than that.
