Northwest Park

...also known as My New Favorite Place!

Today we spent a wonderful, relaxing afternoon at Northwest Park in Windsor, CT. What took me so long to go check out this amazing place is beyond me! I've known about it for years, but have just never managed to get over there. Now it may very well become one of our regular hang-outs!

They have everything you could possibly want in a park -- a nice Nature Center packed with book nooks and educational displays and this amazing tree-house,...



...a petting zoo/farm with a good variety of friendly animals,...






...miles of trails to hike on through a variety of habitats,...






...and a really nice modern playground in a rustic setting.

Add in some good homeschooling buddies and a sparkling sunny and crisp Autumn day, and it all adds up to absolute perfection!
