luck of the Irish

The boys were registered for a museum class yesterday about Ireland and St. Patrick's Day. Ms Susan had her usual display of resource materials set up on the theme for the kids to look at and interact with.

She also had her usual variety of crafts and activities. It looked like a bunch of fun!

Unfortunately, she also was boiling potatoes for the kids to try, and that was more than Zoo Boy could handle with his massive sensory issues. The smell eventually drove him from the classroom, leaving J to enjoy the class on his own.

But Zoo Boy believes in making his own luck. He immediately dashed off to find Ms. Rachel, his favorite museum employee, who works in the animal room. And since he wasn't in the class, she put him to work helping the volunteers socialize chinchillas, snakes, rabbits, lizards, and this hamster he's holding onto in this photo. So as far as he's concerned, things worked out just fine.

Meanwhile, J created this really cool Irish collage.
