We brought the leaves we collected on our leaf walk home for a project -- leaf rubbing!
The kids were amazed at how the leaves "magically" appeared on their paper when we put them underneath and rubbed a block crayon over them.
My work.
J's masterpiece.
Zoo Boy's rubbings.
I think the thing I liked best about this project was that Zoo Boy was able to turn out as nice a piece of work as J or I. Not that ALL of his work isn't great, but I think it can get a little discouraging for him when we do something that requires more dexterity skills than he has mastered yet. It's nice to have some basic, simple projects that the boys can be equally successful at.
