making a lasting difference

We had an ice storm today. Long-time readers of this blog will know how much I detest ice storms, so I won't go there. But needless to say, we spent the day indoors, filling our time with Adventure Circle, relay races, story time, painting, crafting holiday gifts, and enjoying a nice, long, peaceful rest. As the day was drawing to a close and we were awaiting The Map Man's arrival home, Zoo Boy turned to me and said:

"Mommy, when I grow up, I'm going to do what you do."

"Oh, yeah?" I said, "You want to be a dog trainer?"

"No, not that, " he replied. "I'm going to do all the practice stuff with my kids."

Aw, my little dude wants to homeschool his kids! Talk about warming the cockles of my heart....
