Ok, the weather situation here in New England has gone WAY beyond ridiculous. The rain just won't stay away, comes inches at a time, and the temperatures are downright non-beach-friendly. Zoo Boy has been finding it so hard to stay warm at the lake that he gave up and didn't even bother going in the water today. (I was in jeans and a sweatshirt myself.)
Poor J has had no choice, his swimming lessons have gone on despite cold or rain or (as in this photo) both. He hasn't complained, but boy howdy, does that child look cold after 40 minutes in the water which isn't much warmer than the air temperature. I feel even worse for the teacher, who has to be in there all day!

Our front yard yesterday afternoon, sunny yet pouring rain. That went on for about an hour. At several points it was pouring in the front yard and doing nothing in the backyard, or vice versa.
