was: flippin' brilliant now: just a whiney complaint

Did you catch Pink's performance on the Grammy's last night? It was absolutely breath-takingly brilliant:

update: sorry, that first version was taken down, but here's another from Pink's website, hopefully this one will stay up, although it's of much lesser quality. Still worth watching, tho!

further update: Ok, so obviously the Grammy's aren't offering any version of this performance, so if you missed it, you missed it, and trust me, you really missed something! It was musically and visually amazing, so if you ever have the chance to see it, do. It was an artistic triumph!

Which brings me to complain a bit -- with all the worry the music industry has lately about the shift to a digital medium, you'd think they'd want to promote their industry a bit by allowing this sort of thing to be shared. Based on THAT one performance, I went and listened to Pink's CD, and to my delight found that I really like her. It's not an artist I ordinarily would have given a listen to. But based on seeing that, I am vastly more apt to purchase her next CD. Isn't that what the music industry wants??

Haha.. it was actually completely overwhelming to me. I turned on the TV for the first time in months to that. It was pretty, but water? Spinning? Gold painted people? Uhhh.... I'm a banjo and cowboy hat kinda girl. :)
