survival

As I'm sure all of you (except those that actually live under a rock) know, we've been dealing with the aftermath of a bizarre, devestating October snowstorm here in New England. Our town happens to be in one of the worst hit areas, but other than losing power (since last Sat afternoon) and a lot of trees (nothing we can't live without, and nothing that damaged anything other than fences), we are fine. We've taken refuge with a friend who has power (thank the universe for good friends in times of need!!!) so we are warm and fed, and I'm blessed with a strong husband who is willing and able to shoulder the burden of running back and forth to take care of animals.

Projections are hopeful that we'll have power by midnight on Sunday night, but I'm not holding my breath on that one. In the meantime we're healthy and relatively happy and managing to survive, so thanks for all of your thoughts and well wishes! I'll have lots of stuff to share once we're hooked up to the real world again.

Glad to hear y'all are doing ok. I thought of y'all when I heard the news. Hope your nausea has gone away and you're not trying to deal with this upset on top of that and schoolwork.
